How do I start a meal plan?
Can I pause or cancel my meal plan if I need to?
Absolutely! We offer the flexibility so you can skip upcoming orders or pause your meal plan for as long as you need. If you need to cancel your meal plan you can do so at any point, no questions asked.
How do I pause/cancel my meal plan?
Start by logging in to your account or by clicking on the Account section in the navigation. Once you're logged in, head over to "Orders" to skip/pause an upcoming meal delivery. If you're looking to swap your meals, change your frequency or your address head to the "Subscriptions" section. This is also where you will be able to cancel your plan if needed.
I need to change my meals for future orders. How can I do that?
Log in to your account, head over to the "Subscriptions" section" and click on "Change My Meals" to update your selections. We're always adding in new dishes so log-in any time to find your new favorites!
How do I check my upcoming orders?
Log-in to your account and click on "Orders." You'll see a list of your upcoming orders that are scheduled and the date they will be shipped out corresponding to your meal plan.
Until when can I skip an upcoming order or make changes to my meal plan, so it is reflected in my next order?
Head to "Orders" and click on "View Details" for an upcoming order. You will be able to make changes to your order 1 business day before your order ships out.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, we are able to accommodate cancelation requests if you order hasn't shipped yet. If you're unable to "skip" the order in your account, reply to the order confirmation email you received within 12 hours and we'll take it from there.
Can I change my meal plan schedule?
Yes! Our options include weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly plans. You can change your frequency any time by logging in to your account, heading to "Subscriptions" and clicking on "Change Frequency."
Will I get all my meals at once?
Yes! All the meals you selected will be delivered at the same time. For example, if you choose the 10 Meal Plan and select 10 dishes, all 10 will be delivered together in the same box. For more information about our meals and shelf life, please check out the Meals section below.
What does the subscription frequency actually mean?
The subscription frequency indicates how often your meals will get delivered! For example, if you have a 10 Meal Plan and select a Bi-Weekly frequency, you'll get a box delivered to you every 2 weeks with 10 meals. If you have Weekly plan, you'll get a box of 10 meals delivered every week. If you need to change the frequency for future orders, you can login to your account and head to "Subscriptions" to make changes.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship to the US, Canada, UK and India. All orders include free shipping!
How will I receive my meals?
Meals will be delivered within 3-5 business days through UPS or FedEx.
How can I track my shipment?
You will receive a tracking link via email once your order has shipped. All shipments can be tracked in real-time!
Who makes your meals?
Our meals are curated by expert chefs across India who specialize in regional cuisines. The recipes are prepped and packed by our local teams in India using our state-of-the-art freeze drying and dry roasting processes in our FDA compliant facilities. Learn more about how we make our meals here.
How does The Cumin Club ensure quality?
Quality is our #1 priority! We have rigorous standards that our entire team follows starting with our FDA compliant facility and regular kitchen audits to taking every piece of customer feedback seriously. Our Quality Control Team ensures that all of our meals meet a high quality standard.
Can I know more about how the meals are made?
Inspired by the way our ancestors used to dry their food in the sun to make them last longer, our state-of-the-art freeze-drying and dry roasting system is able to retain the flavors and nutrition of our dishes without using any preservatives or chemicals. Meals are all-natural and made with clean ingredients that you would find in your kitchen like whole grains, lentils, and spices.

Are your meals nutritious?
Yes, they are! Our innovative preservation techniques keep the nutrition benefits of the dishes intact without using any preservatives or chemicals. You can find all the nutritional information of each of our dishes when you click on the image of the dish in the plan selection process. Almost all our dishes are gluten-free and we have over 10+ vegan dishes so you can find what you love.
How much can I customize my meals?
With over 30+ dishes from 6 regions of India, our menu gives you a wide variety of dishes to try! Each dish is labeled with where it originates from (e.g. Taste of Delhi) so you can easily fill your box from dishes across India.
Many of our customers choose to customize their meals by adding additional proteins like chicken/tofu/eggs or boosting the health benefits by adding in more leafy greens or veggies so it works for you.
How spicy will my meal be?
Let's start by debunking the myth that all Indian food is spicy. It's not! Spice levels vary based on region and type of dish and our menu has options from mild to spicy based on what you're looking for. All of our meals have spice levels in the descriptions and you can filter by spice level as well!
What's the shelf-life of the meals and how do I store them?
Our meals stay fresh for at least 4 weeks in your pantry (but often times even longer!) at room temperature from the time you receive them. Check the Best Before date on the back of each packaging for the most accurate information. Since our meals are made with all-natural ingredients only with zero preservatives they will have a shorter shelf life than other heavily processed foods.
How much effort is required on my part?
Our meals are easy to make, and only need 5ish minutes of your effort. Each dish might have slightly different directions, but our typical instructions look like the below:

Is Cumin Club vegetarian?
Our meal kits are 100% vegetarian and some of them vegan. The vegan dishes are marked as such on our menu page. Our meal kits are versatile - some customers improvise by adding their own sauteed meat during the prep.
How do I purchase a gift card?
Visit www.thecuminclub.com/giftcard, select the gift card of your choice and add your name & a custom gift message. Enter recipient information (including their email) and click checkout.
A gift card will then be generated and sent out to the recipient's email along with instructions on redeeming the gift card.
How do I redeem a gift card I received?
Do I need to add a payment method when redeeming a gift card?
Yes, we require a payment method to validate your order (with a $1.00 temporary hold). This payment method will be used to charge for your future orders.
However, you can pause/cancel your subscription anytime, so your card is never charged. See Subscriptions section above for more details.
Can I place a one-time order with the gift card code I received?
We are a subscription service, and so we require a frequency selection. However, you can pause/cancel your subscription anytime. See Subscriptions section above for more details. Gift boxes are not eligible to purchase with a gift card currently.
What if my gift card value is less than my order value?
The remaining amount will be charged to your preferred payment method.
Do gift card codes expire?
Never! Our gift card codes can be redeemed at any time.
Do my meals come with sides?
As of January 1st, 2023, meals do not come with complimentary sides. We heard from many customers that they do not consume the sides that the mains come with due to preferences or dietary restrictions. With our goals of sustainability and reducing food waste, we decided not to send sides with main dishes starting January 1st, 2023. However, customers are still able to purchase sides separately if they need them. Read more here.
I'm a current customer, how do I add sides to my subscription?
Please log-in to your account and then head to "Subscriptions." Click "Change My Meals" and make any changes to your main dishes. Once your main dishes are selected and in your cart, you will see the sides as an option in the cart and can select as many as your need.
Where can I get more information about the sides offered?

I see sides recommendation within the cart. What are those?
In order to make the choosing of sides easy, we now recommend sides from within the cart based on the mains you've selected. The quantity of sides is calculated to ensure there's sufficient sides for all the mains selected.
